The HP LaserJet 5Si a tried and true workhorse, with its 40 MHz processor and 24 ppm engine. With up to 11x17 prints and many options, this can be a great asset to your business. You will be hard pressed to find a printer that offers such high reliability and very low cost per page print.

The Laserjet 5si comes in several versions:

Laserjet 5si NX is epically configured for PCL and Ethernet.

Laserjet 5si MX comes with Adobe Postscript Level 2 and Ethernet / localtalk

Laserjet 5si family specifications:

• 600 x 600 dpi, plus built-in HP REt and microfine toner to enhance resolution.

• Memory: 4 MB standard on 5Si and 5Si NX, expandable to 132 MB.12 MB on M and MX versions, expandable to 76 MB. HP MEt (memory enhancement).

• 40 MHz AMD 29040 RISC processor and fast Canon WX engine deliver up to 24 pages per minute.

• Standard Input Capacity: 1,100 sheets, with 1 x 100-sheet multi-purpose and 2 x 500-sheet universal trays. Paper sizes: Letter, A4, Legal, Executive, A3, B4, B5, 11x17. Optional 100-envelope tray handles Com 10, Monarch, DL, C5, B5 . Optional high capacity 2000-sheet paper feeder available.

• Optioanl output capacity: 500-sheet upper bin. 100-sheet left bin, 2000 sheet mailbox and stapler.

• More paper-handling options: high capacity 2000-sheet input tray as a fourth source that increases total capacity to 3,100 sheets; a Duplex Unit for two-sided printing; and a 2000-sheet MultiBin Mailbox with 5 addressable bins (and optional stapler). Software support for paper-handling options simplifies configuration and use.

• Departmental network support— reliable high volume printing with 100,000 page monthly duty cycle.

HP Enhanced PCL 5 (5Si and 5Si NX), plus Adobe PostScript Level 2 (5Si MX). Automatic switching.

• Bi-tronics parallel, MIO 6.0. Automatic I/O switching. Two open MIO slots and optional HP JetDirect cards on 5Si. One MIO slot and built-in HP JetDirect Ethernet/LocalTalk interface card (72552) standard on MX version.
