“William” was reborn from the Hard To Find collector sculpt “Tessa” by Didy Jacobsen.
He was created from a buttery-soft vinyl and is going to be so hard to let go of! I keep looking at him and snuggling him - truly a Dream Baby! Baby William has ¾ Arms and ¾ Legs attached to a new, Flesh Colored Doe Suede Body for complete mobility and unlimited posing options.

I use an 8.0 Mega-pixel digital camera and do not alter my photos in any way.
I guarantee William’s coloring is just as true if not better than his pictures.
You really must see him in person to appreciate the outstanding quality and realism.

REALISTIC SKIN TONES

Baby William was first given a warm sudsy bath
to remove any factory oils and residue.
He was then softly dried while painting preparations were made.
To begin, I gave William a wonderfully textured “living skin” appearance,
applied in several translucent layers over many, many hours.
You won’t be disappointed by dull looking or solid skin coloring.
I use only Genesis Heat Set paints and top quality brushes.
Every crease, bend and chubby baby roll is given added attention,
and I use a Natural Daylight Simulated Ott Light
in all phases of my reborning, so that no detail is ever overlooked.
I thin my paints with 100% pure Mineral Spirits ~
and do not use acrylics or acetone anywhere on my babies.
I never use dye or paint on the insides of my reborns,
so you will never have to worry about future bruising or fading.

WEIGHT

Baby William was given a realistic weight of 5 lbs. and 10 oz. by using tiny Poly Pellets, Glass Beads and non-clumping Premium Poly-Fill. I place several separate bags of weighting materials
inside the torso and head for a true cuddly baby feel. William fits perfectly into Newborn Size Clothing 0-3 Months. He just melts into your arms and feels so real! To add even more sweetness, I applied a special Baby Powder Scent to his poly-fill. This subtle baby fragrance adds the final perfect touch your newborn. You simply won‘t want to put him down!

LASHES, EYES & MOHAIR

William was given super high quality, Glasuagen Glass Eyes (imported from Germany)
in a Dark Newborn Gray color.

William has stunning hand painted baby hair
applied in many, many layers with quality Genesis Heat Set paints.

FINGERS & TOES

Each of William’s little finger and toenails were given a light flesh nail bed
then tipped with a creamy crescent moon. (no thick French manicure for my babies!)
A glossy varnish was then applied for long-lasting wear.

My name is Marilyn Kangas and I am the artist behind every baby adopted from
“Miss Marilyn’s Orphanage”.

I reside in Washington State and am a stay-at-home-mom to six super kids!
I have been reborning for four years, with over sixty reborn babies to my credit. Dolls have always been a big part of my life, with my favorite being a “Chrissy” Madame Alexander I picked out at age 2. So, it seems fitting that I now create them as well as still collecting. And as most reborn artists know, what started as an intriguing hobby, has now become an obsession!
