She has a Bisque socket head on a fully jointed German composition and wood  flapper body.  Beautiful Large brown sleep eyes with painted upper and lower lashes, molded and multi stroke brows, open mouth with four upper teeth and characteristic lower lip mark particular to the Santa dolls, lovely long blond French Human hair wig with multitudinous curls.  Dressed in an antique white cotton dress with tucking and embroidery, antique cotton underwear, black stockings and old white patent leather shoes with single straps, wonderful antique straw hat with applied flowers.     MARKS:                                          1249                                                       Germany                                                       HALBIG                                                        S  &   H                                                           15                                                       CONDITION: Excellent, lovely quality bisque with very crisp and deep modeling, expert painting of the features, subtle coloring!  The original body is in good original finish condition, but there has been some repairs and retouch and one hand is an old replacement and there is a variation in the body part colors. She is a really  gorgeous example of the desirable 1249 mold known as “SANTA.”  Not often found in this larger size and in great condition.  I can normally get up to $2300 for a wonderful and rare SANTA of this caliber on my web site but I am starting her for just $1 here on eBay just to generate some interest in my wonderful antique dolls!
