Offered for your bidding consideration is this very large and well executed Art Nouveau Art Deco lampworked art glass vase from New Zealand. I don't know anything about the artist "Venus" but when I had the opportunity to purchase it several years ago I just couldn't resist! It is an extremely large (over 10" tall) and heavy vase whose base glass color is a medium red. The artist has applied an overlayment of medium blue glass to the bottom portion of the vase and gold foil to each side of the vase near its middle. A layer of crystal glass has been applied to the outside of this wonderful vase for added depth and effect. The interior of the vase is also a medium red. This wonderful vase measures over 10" tall and 5 & 1/2" at it's widest point. It is properly signed with a label near the top of the"Venus Hot Glass Studio Christchurch NZ". It is also signed on the bottom "Venus 2004 NZ Norwester IW". It is in great condition with no chips, cracks, nicks or repairs and it comes out of my personal collection. Rarely do I see any art glass available for sale from our friends down under and it is even more unusual to see such a high quality piece of glass become available!
