Item specifics
Main Color: Off WhiteMaterial: Pottery
Type: VaseListed By: Dealer or Reseller

ABOUT THIS AUCTION: FOR SALE is a massive and superb modernist sculpted studio pottery vase, circa 1970's or 1980's, with a semi abstract design which includes a dove, flowers, a woman's torso, and various abstract forms. It is made of granite type stoneware with a thick off-white or cream-colored applied glaze. Signed on the bottom.

CONDITION: In excellent condition, as shown. A firing crack (not any type of damage) across the underside of the vase. Not visible when the vase is standing.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: This vase has defied all our efforts to establish a maker for it. It is in the style of studio pottery that was popular in the 1970's and 1980's. It's form is massive, and it appears to be sculpted rather than thrown. It is hand made, not molded, and has an interesting thick Oriental type glaze. It is very heavy, perhaps 15-20 lbs. Any HELP WITH IDENTIFICATION OF THIS ARTIST WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

SIZE: approx. 16 inches high, 12 inches at its widest point, and the top rim is 6.5 inches in diameter.

POLICIES and SHIPPING: Shipping and insurance is $20.00 to USA doubled boxed. Overseas $45.00 double-boxed.

PAYPAL IS NOW THE ONLY METHOD OF PAYMENT WE ACCEPT. YOUR PURCHASE IS ALSO FULLY PROTECTED BY PAYPAL.
