HUGE GEORGIAN FORM c1888 SILVER PLATE SALVER TRAY 22" !
BY FAR BEST I HAVE EVER SOLD ~ MAPPIN & WEBB 22" ACROSS
This is by far the most exceptional Victorian round form footed Silver plated serving tray I have ever sold ! To say it is huge is an understatement, this beauty measures a whopping 22" in dia and is done in a classic 18th Century Georgian form. The inner tray measurement is approx. 18-3/4", certainly large enough for even a multi tier Wedding cake, or a large amount of desserts, drinks etc. The tray is marked Triple Deposit, Mappin & Webb, Prince's Plate, Rd. 71552, and all collectors know they were one of the top five English companies of the period. This tray is in very good condition with some signs of age and use in the mirror like field, but certainly no wear to the base metal. Just an incredible find for the most advanced collector. If you saw this in real life you would swear it was Georgian Sterling, and if it actually was I can imagine it would be worth about as much as my house ! This is part of a huge estate we are handling, really one of the finest we have had in years, so be sure to Click here to see a lot more Sterling & Silver Plate. I am sure this would sell for a handsome price at any antique show or shop, but with my low opening bid and NO RESERVE someone could score a huge bargain !! Don't miss out...bid now !!
Mark your calendars this auction ends the evening of Monday Nov. 16th, and we are always happy to combine shipping to save you money !
We are currently listing the largest collection of Silver Plate and Sterling we have ever handled. It will take at least two to three weeks to present it all, check back often as we will be listing different days.
The reflection of the camera can look like large black spots of wear, I would never list anything with such large black spots, I pick out only the best pieces to sell individually.
I have been selling antiques and estate items full time for over 20 years and here on eBay for 5+ years. I take great pride in what I offer, but if for any reason you have a problem with your purchase, please email me and I will do my best to make you happy, I have 100% POSITIVE FEEDBACK and would prefer to keep it that way.
Sorry but I no longer ship to Italy, far too many problems.

Returns:
We make great effort to accurately describe each item listed. Returns are accepted, if either condition, country of origin or dating is significantly incorrect. In such cases we refund your shipping costs as well. Like you, we are only human, and make mistakes. Hopefully, not too many. But remember, the items you see are antiques. Hence, have an expected amount of wear from normal use. As such, returning an item because we failed to mention the tiniest bit of wear, or barely discernible flaw is not acceptable. Nor do we accept returns based on buyer's remorse, change of taste, or because a buyer did not realize how "small" four inches might be once in hand. Also all returns must be posted within 3 days of delivery confirmation.
