This is a wonderful and I believe rare postcard that is titled, "Greetings from Halsey Valley", and on the back, "Blue Sky Campground, a quiet rustic retreat with all modern facilities, Halsey Valley, NY". I have been on Halsey Valley Rd, which is in the rural Tioga County area of Upstate, NY, not far from Binghamton, NY, and there was a lake there in the 1960s- 70s that was owned by "ACE", Auxiliary Campus Enterprises that was the major contractor for Binghamton State University, when they lost their bid, "Empire Lake" later feel into private hands. I have feeling that there is some tie in with these camp grounds and the lake. This card is a bit larger that the standard postcard and measures approx. 6"x 4", and is also on much more frail, thin paper than most postcards. My guess for this card is circa 1920s, but that is just a guess. This card has minor, normal expected wear and a noticable crease in the upper middle edge. I therefore consider this card in fair to good condition for its age and frail condition. The scans are pretty accurate, so the viewer should, check out the scans to determine what they think of the condition and the card in general. I consider this card, rare. I saw no other vintage example on the net and not even a reference to the "Blue Skies Campground" on the net. Chances are that if you would like a vintage example of this card, especially anytime soon, you will likely need to get it here. I am pleased to offer this more off-beat and historic card for consideration. Check out my other items!
