You are bidding on a new Hamilton 7001-NCH one microliter syringe. This syringe comes with an attached chaney adaptor for consistant, reproducible results. This item came out of a QC laboratory (mainly instrumental analysis) that was shut down. I helped broker the sale of much of the gear, but a few items were left in storage. This item is new, and comes in its original packaging. I opened that packaging to take the accompanying pictures. This item will have a shipping weight of about 4 ounces.
SHIPPING: I am experienced in shipping fragile and unusual items. I have shipped collectibles, fine china and tube amplifiers Internationally without problem. You can be confident any item purchased from me will be carefully packed and should arrive in exactly the same condition as when they leave me. Most of my sales are unique items, and because I cannot easily replace them, I do require insurance and delivery confirmation. I normally ship either USPS or UPS, but I am flexible so long as delivery confirmation and insurance are available.
Unlike some sellers, I do not make money from shipping & handling. The total shipping cost I quote you will be the actual costs for postage, insurance and delivery confirmation. My zip code is 08043 if you want to investigate shipping costs on your own. The handling cost will include whatever packaging costs I incur. On small items the handling cost might only be $1 or $2 for a padded envelope or small box. For large and fragile items packaging can easily run $10 or more for heavy duty or double boxes and protection such as bubble wrap and foam sheets.
The shipping & handling costs will be finalized once I know where an item is going, and how many items you have won. I will gladly combine auctions to reduce shipping costs whenever possible. I will send out invoices with shipping costs once my auctions have ended. Please do not send payment until you receive my invoice. If the eBay calculator shows a specific shipping cost please ignore it. If you are the type who gets upset because I package extremely well and charge you a bit more for the added shipping weight, please do not bid. Life is too short to get hung up on such issues.
FEEDBACK: I do give feedback for virtually all transactions, as can easily be determined from my feedback record. As a seller I give feedback after receiving feedback from buyers, or shortly after confirming that a shipment has successfully arrived at its destination. This is not to hold buyers hostage. In fact, with eBay’s new feedback rules this would make little sense, since sellers can’t leave negative feedback.
I do believe that a buyer’s responsibility extends beyond making payment in a timely manner. A buyer also needs to confirm when an item has been received, and inform the seller in a timely manner if there are any problems. I consider positive feedback as an acknowledgment that a sale is completed. I will work to resolve any problem a buyer may have, so long as I am informed of the problem in a timely fashion. In accordance with eBay rules, I will report non-paying bidders; since this is the only way I can recover my seller fees.
RETURNS & REFUNDS: I do not accept returns unless I inadvertently listed something incorrectly or the item was grossly misrepresented. All items I sell are mine, and are inspected by me before shipping. Please be sure to email me BEFORE YOU BID if you need additional information or have questions about the item. If I authorize a refund, it will be issued promptly once 1) the item has been returned to me, 2) I can confirm it is the item I shipped, and 3) it is in the same condition as when I originally shipped it.
BOILERPLATE – FOR ALL BUYERS: I take doing business on eBay seriously, and I want each transaction to work well for you as a buyer. Buyer’s remorse and misunderstandings cost both of us time and money. I would rather make less money than have to deal with an inexperienced buyer who has unrealistic expectations.
So long as you know what you are bidding on, and ask questions when necessary, any eBay auctions of mine should work out quite well. Vintage items are not new and as such show some degree of age and use. As stated in many of my auctions, I do not claim to be an expert on all items. I strive to describe items to the best of my knowledge and research, and I do note any major flaws I am aware of. However, it is very important that you ask questions before bidding. If you have a concern about a specific aspect of condition or functionality please ask. Do not make assumptions. My view of good may differ slightly from yours. For many vintage items I am unable to test and operate them fully, so please take that into account as you bid.
