Hamilton 992B Railway Special Pocket Watch 21J 6 Pos.

This  "HAMILTON 992B RAILWAY SPECIAL" pocket watch is in excellent running condition. It winds, sets, and runs with ease. The white enamel face has a double sunk design with the classic Roman Style black numerals and is marked with the words "Hamilton Railway Special". The hands, including the seconds hand, are black in color. This beauty also has a Montgomery outlined minutes dial with the "6" within the seconds bit.The bezel is outlined in an attractive gold design that matches a case style #16. This watch movement has great damaskeening and is a size 16. It is marked  "21 Jewels" and "Adjusted to Temp & 6 positions". Also marked is the serial number, C382181, which was made approximately in 1950. The movement is also signed " Hamilton Watch Co. U.S.A." The watch winds by the stem and the time is changed by the more desirable lever set. The case is gold filled 10K made by the Hamilton Watch Co. of Lancaster Pa. with a serial number of R287453. There are some service marks near the Hallmark on the inside cover. The watch has been used and shows some normal wear. This would make a very nice railroad grade pocket watch for your collection.
