This piece measures 11.5'' high x 5.5'' in diameter.
I've had this piece for a while now and I really like the way the color is very rich at the bottom of the piece, but fades into very soft pastel tones near the top. The piece features a black lip wrap as well.
I have been blowing glass for eight years now. I started when I was fifteen years old as an apprentice and now I work as a studio manager and teacher at Foci Glass, the largest, open to the community, glass studio in Minnesota. My work is featured in galleries in Minnesota as well as nationally.
Glassblowing has been a passion of mine and I'm happy to share the fruits of that passion with you. I am confident that this piece will make a fine addition to your collection.
During the process: Applying a Swedish Overlay (one colored bubble rolled backwards over the top of another color for different color effects).
During the Process: Finishing the piece (after the piece is completely blown out is is transferred to the punty so that the lips of the vase can be opened and shaped).
