The blade is hand forged and it made of high carbon AISI 1050 Steel. It is suitable for Iaito practice or display. The blade is strong and sturdy and would stand up to hard blows (please see our blade test section in this auction). Unlike other machine sharpened edges which do not reach the cutting standard.
