Hand Made Maple Top Whorl Drop Spindle

This is the perfect spindle for the beginner or for advanced spinners. It has been hand crafted by a spinner. The shaft is made of oak and is about 10 1/2inches long and the whorl is made of hand turned maple and is 2 1/2 inches in diameter. The finish is a hand rubbed mixture of bees wax and orange oil to give this spindle a pleasant feel and appearance. This spindle weighs about 37 grams or about 1.3 ounces. I have included 2 ounces of wool roving from Brown Sheep Co. so that you will  be ready to begin as soon as your spindle arrives.

A note to the buyer: This is a handmade spindle. It is a one of a kind piece. I personally cut the shaft and turned the whorl. I assembled it  and hand rubbed it with lemon oil. The hook is solid brass for long lasting appearance and durability. It is not a storebought wheel that someone pushed a piece of dowel through. I have taken the time and care to give you the best spindle possible. I hope you will enjoy it.
