"Americana Canvas in Primitive Wood Frame"

Up for auction is this heavy medium grade floor canvas on which my friend, Maureen, hand painted this stunning design by Brenda McPeek.  Maureen painted this 15 years ago in 1994.  She framed it in a double wood frame (28" x 37.25" outside measurement) which she stained in a medium brown.  This is a multi-media piece - it was first basecoated in acrylics, then all the detail work was done in oils.

The whole thing has been varnished and Maureen has a wire hanger (see first pic) on it so it can hang on the wall.


PLEASE NOTE:
There is some general wear from this piece being moved from one state to another and from being 15 years old which is why I am calling this PRIMITIVE Folk Art.  On pictire 5 you can notice a 1.5" crease right above the 2nd star countrying from the left.  When you stand 3' from the painting you can not see it at all.  
The frame has been dinged in a couple of places but I was to cover those spots with a matching stain.  BUT if you are looking for perfection please do not bid on this.

First inner frame is painted a deep blue, then the outer frame (1 3/4" deep) has been
stained a medium brown.
