Here is a lovely oil lamp base, made of hand molded and painted glass. Brass insert and feet. No makers mark and I have not seen one like it to identify its date or origin. Just beautiful hand painting and detail of flowers, leaves, stems - even a spider's web. Stands 6.25 inches tall, 9 inches in diameter. See photos - they tell it all! No chips, cracks, nor repairs. Some minor gold loss on the seams between the raised glass segments.
