About The Artist:
Our Canvas Critter artist, Nancy Collins, began her journey into the world of
art at the young age of 6 years old. Inspired by her uncle's sketches, she would
develop her own technique for photo-realism painting. As a young woman, working in
the New York garment districts, she studied art under such world renowned
artists as Joyce Pike, John-Seerey Lester and Carl Brenders.
Some 25 years ago in her southern Ozark hometown she opened the doors of her art
studio to share her skills with other aspiring artists. Her career and passion for painting has spanned over fifty years. Painting has been a true inspiration though out her life.
We hope you'll cherish your portrait pieces as much as Nance has enjoyed
creating them.
