HAND SMOCKED GIRL'S DRESS - SZ 8 - NEW - CHRISTMAS - HOLIDAY - SPECIAL OCCASSION
This auction is for a smocked girl's dress sold by e-maginativegifts.com. The store has as objective to help women in 3rd world countries to increase their income. You can read more on my objective and the women who make the items on my Website.
This Sz 8 dress was handmade by women in Madagascar. The women do the smocking at home while they take care of their children and household. They subsequently bring the smocked part to the cooperative where it is washed and assembled into a dress. I work with the manager of the cooperative. The dress is 100% cotton, closes with buttons and a sash and does not have a brand name.
Customers have reacted differently to the size of the dress. Some tell me it sizes small, others that it sizes big. So, please take the measurements for your girl. But you can always return the dress (see below) if it does not fit.
The measurements taken while the dress is lying flat are:
Length: 30” from top of neck opening where it meets shoulder, down to bottom skirt edge
Chest: front measurement (just under arm) is 12-3/4” across front taking gathers into consideration.
The hem is 2".
The minimum bid for the dress is $17.00. Buyer pays $4.90 for shipping and handling. Shipping is per postal priority mail. The item is shipped the next business day if payment is with Paypal or Money Order. If payment is with check, the item will be shipped after the check has cleared. If you buy more than one item, additional shipping and handling for each additional item is $2.00.
I have close to 1700 positive ebay feedbacks. If for one reason or another you are not happy with the item you may return it. I refund the cost of the item but not the shipping.
