This auction is for a Hand painted, three dimensional, glows in the dark, Gourd. This was donated by "DENNIS," a Vietnam Veteran Artist, 100% disabled, to be sold for OneSpirit, Oh, did I mention that it was made in the U.S.A. plus its signed and numbered on the bottom. Check out my gourd feedback, most rate my birdhouses,"more than expected"...This is a  very nice Personal Collectable, B-Day and Holiday gifts, one of a kind and you won"t find these at Walmart.  Because these take so long to make, I am only able to do so many, these really are'One Of A Kind', let this remind you of good things to come! It has a base coat of Burgundy acryilic paint, all the flowers, [ 26 flowers] 18 bees, and all the berrys are an extreme bas- relief, so that you can physically feel them, the gourd measures approx. 10 1/2 inchs high, 8 inchs in diameter, the hole measures 1 1/4 in. and the hanger is made from copper, this birdhouse is very decorative, but can be used outside also, we have 6 on our front porch,they are finished with two coats of exterior polyurethane, also when exposed to white light, they glow quite nicely for a period of time as shown by the photo. When working with this gourd I saw many things during its creation, its a Gourd, its a BirdHouse, it is the Alpha and Omega, because of its unique shape, it has no corners, no begining and no ending points, just life flowing ever onwards, with the many flowers its a garden bearing fruits, all the bees make it look like a hive, combine those things and you have living LIFE....Turn the lights out, I am looking at my universe,  the bees wings glow, am I in never,never, land or perhaps they could be angels in the universe.... This piece Has over 40 hours in it, so I can"t be sorry for the price, I'm not making a dime here, I"m just trying to make a difference in someOne elses life.... Please know that 100% of your payment goes towards OneSpirits many programs working with the Lakota people.
