Handcrafted  RedHeart Wood Wood ~ 5.00 '' Seam Rubber

Possible uses in Sailing, Scrapbooking  & Sewing

Seam Rubber: This tool is used in sailmaking for producing sharp folds prior to sewing.  After both sides of a flat seam are complete, the length of finished stitching is worked upon with the seam rubber to flatten and even out the tension. 

Picture shows two views of the item - auction is for one item.  Hand turned, carved and shaped.

Mine are hand made one-of-a-kinds.  No two are exactly alike as they are made one at a time on my lathe and hand polished with only foodsafe carnauba wax. 

One of these handcrafted Seam Rubbers would make a unique gift for the hobbyist / craftperson that has it all - almost.  :)

Wood:  unknown wood is a type of Mahogany - unsure of what the exact species is...
