sale is a handcrafted black walnut funeral/burial wood cremation urn.
Black walnut is a very beautiful and popular domestic hardwood. This
urn has mahogany inserts added in the four mitered corners for extra
strength, and aesthetics. This handmade urn is made of 3/4" thick solid
walnut wood with outside measurements of 11"L x 6 1/4"W x 6 1/2" High.
The inside volume of this urn is 225 cubic inches, which equates to 225
lbs live weight. I put several coats of my favorite finish on this urn
for a nice semi gloss sheen, and for protection from handling. The feel
of this urn is velvety smooth as glass. I have added four rubber feet
to the bottom for non-marring of surfaces. The bottom base piece of
this burial urn is secured in place by six brass screws, which come off
for insertion of the ashes.
