This
sword is hand forged and made from AISI 1095 high carbon steel. Clay
Tempered blade and Water quenched.
Hand sharpened blade can cut 5 bamboos and tree with a strike and leaves
no cracks on the cutting edge. This blade is sharpened through 12 stage
hand sharpening work and you may see very visible hamon line (clay
tempered line) on the blade surface. Authentic shark skin samegawa and
real silk tsukamaki. A quarter of scabbard surface from scabbard mouth
is wrapped authentic shark skin and the other part to the scabbard
finish is lacquered in glossy black. Hand made copper Foo Dog tsuba,
fuchi and kashira. 2 Brass dog menukies. Brass habaki and shakudo seppa.
This battle ready sword suit for kendo and iaido superior. Large value

This sword's
blade was hand forged by Japanese traditional method Clay Tempered. The
gray range of above blade is clay covered range. The sword smith puts the
clay on the blade and only leave the edge non-clay. Then the blade's edge
will be heated to red then quenched into water. In this status, the edge
will be stronger but clay covered range still keep the blade's
flexibility. After clay tempered the blade will leave a slight and
fantastic white outline we call it is hamon line. You may see following
picture. But let hamon line show beautiful status need Japanese
Traditional Polishing. To understand Japanese sword polishing is to
understand the Japanese sword.
