Handmade Leather Fur Tri-Corner  Art Hat












 


Up for auction is my unique all Leather and Fur Tri-Corner Hat. (Brim is folded up against the crown to form three sides and three corners.) This hat is styled after the hat worn by Captain Jack Sparrow, the pirate. I designed my hat slightly different. The base is one piece of leather, there are no seams.  Two of the side are composed of Brown Hair on Hide Cow Hide and the back flap is brown leather.  The crown of this hat is hand dyed;  I employ a technique of distressing the hide to render an antiquated patina.   This hat will fit head size from 23.0 to 24.0 inches. It is imperative that you get your head size absolutely correct.   Just follow "how to measure you head guide" below.  Each hat is steamed cleaned and wrapped in plastic to ensure a fresh and sanitary hat.

This is not the actual hat; your hat will be fashioned after this one.  You have choice of crown color; the fur sides are only brown, as shown.

Hat will take up to 10 business days to construct.


My Hat Return Policy:

Returns are not accepted on hats.   I am a stickler about hat hygiene.  Hats that have been placed on one's head may not be returned;  I will gladly accept hats that need alterations or reshaping.  That is why it is imperative that you ask questions prior to bidding,  that will avoid fitting, structural and style problems.

 How to measure your head:

 1. Using a tape measure made of plastic or cloth, measure circumference of head just above top of ears and just above the brow. Make sure the tape lies midway on your occipital bone (the little bone in the middle of the back of your head). 

 2.  Place the tape measure at the top center of your head and measure the distance to where you want the brim to place. This will give the crown depth. It is important that you provide these two measurements to get a perfect fit. Remember; please include your hair in both measurements. Don't pull the tape too tightly; let it sit comfortably, i.e. how you'd like the hat to fit.
