This quilt is made using a cutting technique based on the repeats of a fabric. All fabric is printed in ‘repeats’, that is, a dimension in which the same motif reappears. By cutting the fabric in the same area or repeat, you get a kaleidoscopic effect, and each block is somewhat different.
The quilt is beautifully free-motion machine quilted in rays and feathers using a variety of threads, many of them metallic. Unfortunately even the closeups do not show the beautiful quilting which enhances this quilt.
The materials, time and workmanship in this piece would place it's value in the $400-$450 range.
