P (poor - bad shape, but readable)
G (good - many flaws, good reading copy or collection filler until a better copy is found [G-, G, G+])
VG (very good - collection quality, may have a flaw or two or some minor shelf wear [VG-, VG, VG+])
NF (near fine - like new, no visible flaws, usually unread)
F (fine - new or as new, flawless).
