Here is just about the neatest deal that I have found in some time. It is two hatpins, 9 1/2 inches long, one is Indian man head and other is Indian lady head, presumably Hiwatha and Laughing Water. They are made of looks like spelter with gold paint and regular steel shafts on the pin. They fit into a holder with Indian man and woman on front and a verse from Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's classic poem and is marked the Wooing of Hiwatha. The back of the holder has been bent near base and stands a little crooked. Holder is marked on back with R in a shield and Pat Applied For and G. Silver. Fresh from a really old great estate auction. The hat pins definitely came with and go with the holder. Postage will be $7.00 by Priority Mail. Missouri residents add sales tax or use tax number. |
