Soup bowls are so hard to find in vintage china! You'll want to get these now to add to your Haviland dinner table - once they are gone, they are gone. These are Haviland's shape number 205 which has a scalloped rim and beaded motif on the border between the rim and the body. The body is glossy white and the rim is beautifully decorated with a medium green band highlighted with stylized gold bows. This is an elegant, sophisticated pattern that will look great in your home.
It is possible that this is pattern Schleiger 213 which is on this shape with green and gold, or it is an unclassified pattern.
Rimmed soup bowl is 7 3/8 inches across at the widest and 1 3/8 inches tall. It is in excellent condition, especially considering that the bowl would date to the very early 1900s. There are no chips or cracks and wear is minimal to none. The only point to note is a bit of scuffing on the unglazed foot rim. The back stamp is pictured below the description.
Go ahead and get this to add vintage charm to your dining room this holiday!
