Replace leaking pump lid. If your pump is sucking air, your equipment can be damaged. Sucking air will also cause filter not to work to its potential.

If you see air bubles coming out of your inlet, check your pump lid for damage lid or damaged O-ring.

This lid works on most Hayward pumps after 1978, but match picture to your pump.
