The Head Thang series are specifically designed and built for lady skiers and the Wild Thang is the top model in this series.  For 2007, the Wild Thang has been made slightly wider.  Metal laminate construction is the key to a performance ski today, but few models for women offer metal in their construction.  This ski sets the bar quite high by featuring Head's proprietary Liquid Metal layer, which offers all the advantages of metal with lighter weight and better rebound.

In addition to the Liquid Metal component, the Wild Thang also features Head's exclusive Intelligence system.  Special hi tech fibers in the front of the ski stiffen when vibration travels through them.  So, on hard snow, as the ski vibrates more, this extra stiffness helps it hold its edge better.  But, off trail when the ski is vibrating less on softer snow, it has a very smooth and forgiving, supple feel.  There is no other manufacturer that offers anything like Head Intelligence.  With its 76 mm waist, the Wild Thang is the perfect all mountain shape ski, and with its metal layer and Intelligence system, it may be the most versatile women's ski on the market.  Off trail or on, this ski goes anywhere, and will never disappoint you.  Check out these features -

This package includes Tyrolia LD 12 Railflex II bindings.  Tyrolia Rail Flex rocks!  The Railflex track is factory installed on Head skis, and then the binding slides onto the Rail Flex track.  Because it is held in place only in the center, rather than each binding piece bolted to the ski, the flex of the ski is much more natural.  In addition, among all integrated binding systems on the market, only Rail Flex gives you the choice of three positions for the binding on the ski.  Center (stock mounting point) and 15mm ahead and 15 mm behind.  You can easily change the setup on the hill to fit your skiing style and stance, or the conditions of the day.  And, this binding will fit any boot you will ever own.  No need to redrill for different sizes.  Very cool!

• Tyrolia's Diagonal Heel is a unique feature among all ski bindings.  In a forward, twisting fall, only Tyrolia has the ability for the boot to release in a twisting direction at the heel. 
• Tyrolia's Anti Blocking system has a moving track under the boot toe to ensure low friction as the boot moves sideways to release at the toe or absorb shocks.  No Teflon pieces to get worn out under the boot toe.
• Light Diagonal toe allows vertical release at the toe in backward falls.
• TRP Pincer Toe with Roller bearings inside the toe cup allow the boot to absorb shocks and return to center very quickly with super low friction.
