Please note that "lighted" indicates that these buttons will display a red light when pushed. There is no continuous illumination. Continuous illumination would likely drain the battery quickly on a wireless button. The light is useful for two reasons: 1. The person pushing the button knows that a signal has been sent to the chime, or doorbell unit, even if they can't hear it. 2. The light indicates that the button still has battery life.
