This beautiful set of Herend Rothchild Bird China has 8 complete place settings.  The set has the 11" dinner plate.  There is also a salad plate, bread and butter plate, and cup and saucer. 
The China has been carefully inspected and there are no chips or cracks.  The place setting you see is of the actual China for sale.  It was purchased new in the 1960's and rarely used.
 
Many connoisseurs consider Herend Rothschild Bird, first created in 1850 for the Rothschild family of Europe, to be the epitome of hand painting on porcelain. Twelve different motifs portray a 19th century tale about Baroness Rothschild, who lost her pearl necklace in the garden of her Vienna residence. Several days later it was found by her gardener, who saw birds playing with it in a tree. Hand washing in mild dish detergent is recommended. Avoid abrasives and lemon-based soaps.
Since 1826, Herend has created timeless designs with unsurpassed craftsmanship and artistry. These exquisite treasures make lovely collectibles and heirlooms for generations to come.
