 IMPORTANT: Alot of our customers are not familiar with how hidden cameras work and the additional equipment they may need, so we've put together a list of 'scenarios' so you have everything you need when you finally order.

Scenario #1  Wired configuration

The building has been vandalized several times and the owner wants to catch the person(s) involved on camera. He can purchase up to 16 day/night infrared cameras to monitor his property from multiple angles. He would also have to purchase a digital recording device preferably a PC DVR or a Stand Alone Embedded DVR . The software for the PC is already uploaded and ready for recording once all or one of the cameras are connected; the embedded DVR is also a plug and play unit - just connect the cameras to the video inputs and a monitor to the video output and you are ready for recording.

Scenario 2: Wireless configuration

In any combination of 4, 8, or 16 channel setups, up to 16 wireless cameras can be used; each wireless receiver has to be set on 1 of the 4 channels corresponding to the channel of the wireless camera. The receivers have to be plugged into the video inputs located on the back of either of the DVR units. The connections are made by BNC to RCA adapters from the video output of the receiver to the video input of the recording device.  (Wireless cameras are not as reliable in an industrial or commercial environment. We suggest the use of wired cameras.)

Scenario 3: Residential Wired Camera System

This house has been vandalized and someone is prowling in the neighborhood and the owner wants to catch the person(s) involved on camera. He can purchase up to 16 day/night infrared cameras to monitor his property from multiple angles. He would also have to purchase a digital recording device preferably a PC DVR or a Stand Alone Embedded DVR. The software for the PC is already uploaded and ready for recording once all or one of the cameras are connected; the embedded DVR is also a plug and play unit just connect the cameras to the video inputs and a monitor to the video output and you are ready for recording.

Scenario 4 Wireless Hidden Camera Configuration

John suspects some suspicious activity going on in his home when he is away. He wants to capture this activity on video; this can be done by use of a hidden camera. In this situation you would probably want to go wireless; it is more inconspicuous and the camera is concealed in an ordinary household item. You would also have to purchase a digital recording device. The DVR can be hidden in another room along with the receiver to the wireless camera; it can be approximately 1000ft away with a regular transmitter/receiver and up to 2500ft away with the high-powered version.  

ATTENTION: EACH INDIVIDUAL COMPONENT MUST BE POWERED BY EITHER A 12V BATTERY PACK, 12V AC POWER SUPPLY, OR BY SIMPLY PLUGGING THE UNIT (CAMERA) INTO AN AC WALL OUTLET.

Scenario 5 Wireless Camera connected to your own PC with Grabee Setup

 For this Scenario #5, you will need the following:

1) VISEC Surveillance Software if he wishes to view images from cameras real time over the internet and record

2) Grabee X - allows John to connect the receiver from his wireless camera to the USB ports on his computer if he wishes to view over the internet .

OR

3) DVR Card – higher quality image than use of Visec with Grabee

For multiple wireless cameras, you will need a Quad - 4 channel Quad (2-4 cameras) or DVR w/ built-in Quad(up to 4,8 or 16 cameras) or DVR Card (up to 4 or 8 cameras)
