About This Piece:

I love red! I painted my popular pear composition using only shades of red with deep blue for shadows.

Hint of a Pear was painted using professional artist grade oil paint on a small canvas panel. Painting can be framed or placed on a small display easel. Painting was finished with a light coat of varnish.

A Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist and registered with EBSQART.COM will be provided for your records.

Hint of a Pear was completed in my home studio in Shelby, North Carolina, c2009.

Torrie Smiley, originally from West Texas, now residing and painting in the foothills of North Carolina.

I am self-taught artist who paints using oil, acrylic, watercolor, and pastel. I have become known for my different renditions of pears, ranging from realism to colorful impressionism.

My paintings are usually simple in composition with the goal to create something pleasing to the eye, that may make you smile. I am not into the deep, thought-provoking, controversial subjects. I am not ashamed to say I create wall art to compliment your home decor.

I am currently being collected across the United States and Internationally.
