Charlie Frederick is a graduate of Berkeley Springs High School where he excelled in football and track and field.
Charlie went on to play football for four years at Shepherd College where he graduated in 1964.
Upon graduation from Shepherd College, Charlie coached football in Front Royal, Virginia and later at North Hagerstown High School in Hagerstown, Maryland.
Charlie completed his masters degree in science education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned a Ph.D from the University of Iowa at Iowa City, Iowa in 1974.
Dr. Frederick has taught at the University of Minnesota and at California State University at Los Angeles.
In 1995, Charlie returned to his home state and taught at his alma mater Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, West Virginia.
Charlie Frederick's contributions to education and entertainment are very significant.
