Up for bid is a Older Reproduction of a Old Time Favorite Cast Iron Mechanical Bank.. It's called " The Hold The Fort Bank". It features 1800's Old West Fort with a Cannon and Target mounted on top. The way it works is" You place a coin in the slot , located just behind the target. Then you place the metal projectile in the Cannon. You cock the cannon by pulling back on the cocking lever. To activate the Bank , You push down on the trigger of the Cannon. As you push the trigger,  the action begins : The Cannon shots the metal projectile into the target, which hits the coin, causing it to fall into the Bank below.  Coins can be retrieved by removing the coin plug, located on the bottom of the bank.(see pictures).   It measures 6-3/4 inches long by 3-3/4 inches tall. Its base is 3-1/4 inches wide. Stamping on the bottom reads: "Bits & Pieces" which is the Company that manufactured the Bank.  All of its mechanical parts are still working properly.
