Greetings fellow trumpeters! Up for auction is a slightly used Holton Maynard Ferguson Bb trumpet model ST 307S.
The ST307’s high register is astonishingly easy to play, and it has a pleasing, vibrant feel with the full, well-centered sound Ferguson always looks for. Says Maynard, “The upper register is as fat and big as the middle and lower—there’s no thinned-out sound upstairs.”Maynard’s personal-model Holton trumpet has been called the best MF Horn yet. It has a bore size identical to that of Ferguson’s former main horn, the ST306, but the ST307’s specially tapered full-length mouthpipe and reversed tuning slides allow unprecedented dynamic playing freedom, and its tuning slide’s more rounded contour makes the air flow more easily than ever before.

FAQ's:
What is the condition of the trumpet?: This trumpet is in good condition, with no dents in it, and only miniscule scratches on the surface that come with time. I have only used it for 2 years.
How well does this trumpet play?: This trumpet has served me well for two years on lead trumpet at university jazz band, as well as in a concert band setting. It's best feature is it's VERY LARGE bore allowing greater freedom of air travel, especially in the high register. It is this freedom of air travel (due to the large bore) that allows consistency between the registers and power in the upper register. This trumpet was designed by the Admiral himself, and this is precisely why he designed the trumpet the way he has.
What is included?: The lucky winner will be the proud owner of the Bb Trumpet, case, Holton 7C trumpet mouthpiece, and Holton valve oil.
Why would you want to sell such a useful instrument?: Simple: I don't play in a jazz band or concert band anymore, I play in an orchestra, and I play on a professional instrument. That having been said, the Maynard Ferguson ST 307S is a beautiful transition instrument from the student model to a pro horn.
What is the reserve price?: I can't tell you this! But it is lower than you might think. While it is a fair price for a used horn, it is low because I want to sell it fast; every day I am tempted to hang on to this wonderful horn in case I might need it!
What is the shipping cost?: Seller will pay all shipping costs. Will ship to: Canada, U.S. and the U.K. Delivery insurance is optional (but recommended!).
