Q: What size split ring should I use for my charms?
A: 6mm is the standard size split ring or jump ring for a charm bracelet. 7mm split rings and jump rings are generally used on thick link and vintage bracelets. 7mm split rings are also easier to open and close without a special tool. 5mm split rings are used on small link bracelets and require a split ring tool to keep the ring from losing its shape when adding it to the charm or bracelet.
