We believe that hoodia should be taken in its natural state, as taken by the San. The San Bushmen have not only taken Hoodia as an effective appetite suppressant, but also as a thirst quencher, for severe abdominal cramps, hemorrhoids, tuberculosis, indigestion, hypertension and diabetes. Studies have shown that without the supporting ingredients in the unprocessed Hoodia Gordonii, much of the potency of the suppressant and medicinal benefits are lost. Some plants have great supporting properties, but when they are extracted they are gone and some of the extracts don’t work as well without them, the Hoodia gordonii plant is such a plant. As a supplement it is best taken in its purest powder form and not from extract.
