This clean water & solution tank is a brand new, and improved design from Hoover, to correct the problems of cracking and leaking tanks.  Part # 42272104

The original blue tank with a black base is now being replaced by an improved clear tank with a gray base.  You will receive the improved clear tank.

The new Supply Tank utilizes a new molding technique, and can be identified by the one piece construction.  The Solution side of the Tank is no longer a separate tank adhered to the Tank Assembly, but is rather molded in one piece together with the Clean Water side.  The material used for the tank is a different, and more durable one as well.

The Tank is ready to use, and includes the valves and tank caps.  All that is required from the old tank is the handle, which easily changes by simply pulling it loose from the old tank, and pushing it into place on the new.

This Tank is a genuine direct replacement for the following part numbers, as well as ALL defective, or broken tanks for the Hoover Dual V and V2 Steam Vacs :

Tank Kit # 12002549 (It is not necessary to update the Tank Support when using the new design Supply Tank.  The tank support was included in the kit.)
