Not your average Western flick, The Fighting Stallion is a cowboy film nuanced with heart and soul. Bill Edwards stars as Lon Evans, a World War II veteran who decides to become a rancher. Edwards soon learns that he will eventually become blind, and sets off trying to adapt his life. On the ranch, he befriends a wild, unbroken horse who becomes his seeing-eye-horse! What follows is Edwards struggle with blindness, his strained relationship with a nurse he falls in love with, and other ranchers who dont think his horse is safe. Tense, dramatic, and emotional, The Fighting Stallion brings real character and feeling to the often cartoon-like Old West. And not to be missed is a tremendous fight between horses!
