Its success is illustrated by the fact that there have been few if any noticeable changes in its design for at least 20 years. The price of a new Type 1900 hot plate exceeds $260. Temperature setting is continuous over the range and is very stable. From 100 to 200 deg F, the temperature holds to within 5.4 deg F (3 deg C). And, from 200 to 700 deg F it holds to within 2 deg F (1 deg C). When power is being supplied to the heating element, the light displays. 6 ft. 3 wire cord with plug. Special notice regarding shipping

Packaging is specially designed to prevent the top plate from being accidentally crushed against the bottom housing. Free flow of air through the housing is necessary to prevent it from overheating and crushing blocks that important venting. You can be assured that I will not ship a crushed hot plate. In the picture below, you can see the space that's required between the top plate and the housing.

If instrument is not operational for 30 days we will send you a replacement at no additional cost and reimburse you for the cost of shipping the old unit back to us.
