This lot is for an elegant classic Mid Century Revere / Neo Classical TALL SUGAR CASTER    

Hotel Silver or better quality --  Large SUPERB ROUND FOOTED TALL CASTER  is about 7 inches tall with graceful shape (no monograms), simply yet detailed/rolled edge and wide foot.  Greatly detailed, this is a thick heavy very good quality.  No personalization/monogram.

My mother picked this classic up at GUMPS OF SAN FRANCISCO decades ago.  It is an older reproduction and newer take on the design of a classic.  ENGLISH SILVER ( hallmarks shown in pictures for you to decide ), we think it is silver on copper.   This was on display in my mother's china cabinet, doubtful it was ever used - just was pretty!

No Auction Reserve - Super Nice Estate Used Condition

CONDITION:  See pictures ...  looks QUITE GOOD.  Really Great Stunning Item to add to your collection.  Starting at very reasonable price. 

My grandparents collected much quality Sheffield items and most of the collection came from 1780s to 1830.  They were serious about entertaining in a way I am not.  My family invested in quality items for gracious living.

Review picture(s) for condition etc.  Not new, but Used Good Estate Condition with expected use on treasured old items.  Some hand polishing needed!

Vintage heirloom quality heavy plated items, an outstanding, truly versatile, group/set of good weight/heft, elegant pattern.  Bid based on info above, but know these were from a very good collection of very fine household goods that were well taken care of.

 

No major flaws or damages not mentioned, expect general marks, spots, scratches, wear and patina commensurate with age and use of treasured serverware/flatware used for special meals/holidays; these were cared for / hand washed/cream wet polished.  All this has been stored away in the box for many years and a simple cleaning/polishing will make it look even more elegant on your table.  Most or all hosts would feel quite comfortable using this when entertaining the most special guests in your home.  Not dipped in any harsh silver polish bath only hand polishing for years!  Nice patina that only comes from time and 3 generations of use.  Use at your holiday parties!
