Hoveround Teknique HD electric power wheelchair scooter

Up for sale we have a nearly new Hoveround Teknique HD electric wheelchair, complete with its battery charger, seatbelt, & even its owner's manual.  No problems with it, at all.  It's made to transport a person who weighs up to 500 pounds.  It's the heavy-duty model, thus the "HD" in its name.  (Equipment designed for use by obese people is sometimes referred to as "bariatric" equipment.  This wheelchair fits that category, but is perfectly suitable for lighter people who may just want a stronger-structured wheelchair.)

Here's the background on this chair:  This belonged to my Pastor, who used one of this same model (Teknique HD -- not this one, but the same kind) for several years of heavy use, until it finally died.  He was stuck without an electric wheelchair, so while his insurance was processing a new one, someone in our church bought this one for him.  The people who had it said that it was owned by a 93-yr.-old man who didn't like it -- so he didn't use it.  One of the 93-yr.-old's relatives used it a little to ride some kids around, not wanting it to go completely unused.  It was so unused that its new batteries had died, so we put the used batteries from my Pastor's old chair in it, & now it works just fine.  They hold a charge well.  (Of course, eventually all such batteries will need to be replaced, but that's the way it is with a brand-new chair & batteries, too.)  He used this chair for about a week before his new one arrived, so he didn't need this one anymore.  We'll be donating a portion of the funds from the sale of this chair (after eBay & PayPal fees) to a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.

DELIVERY OPTIONS -- HOW TO GET THIS TO YOU:

If you pay your freight carrier to come & pick this up, but you need us to palletize it:  In order to get an accurate freight shipping quote, you'll need to know a few things:  Approximate shipping weight will be over 300 pounds, including the pallet.  (Chair's base is about 250lbs., plus the seat, plus the charger, plus the pallet = we're guessing around 350lbs., palletized.)  For freight estimation purposes, you may need to know that this is a commercially-zoned property without a loading dock.  We have put the approximate size of this chair, its approximate weight, etc. into eBay's freight quote calculator, but this is for estimation purposes only.  We do not guarantee that YOUR freight carrier will ship it for that much.  This estimate is provided as a courtesy.  (We have zero control over what freight carriers do, or how much they charge, so we can't guarantee that.)  Feel free to get your own freight quote from your preferred freight carrier service.  If you pay your freight carrier to come & pick this up, but you still need us to palletize it, then the service charge that we've built into the estimates that show on this listing is $45.  This is to cover the shipping pallet (for which we will have to pay about $20, typically), plus our labor to prepare the chair & charger for shipment.  Of course, if you pick this up locally & don't need that service, then we won't charge you for it.  Another option is that we ship the charger to you, & you have the chair picked up by your freight carrier.  Whichever way you want this done, we will try to work with you & help you.  (You don't get over 600 feedback score on eBay, over half from selling, with 100% positive feedback, by not taking care of your customers.)  We'll help you as we can, but remember that this is not a small, light item that we can put in a box quickly & ship off immediately to arrive on your doorstep in a few days.  Freight carriers are not as fast as USPS Priority Mail (a reliable, fast service we commonly use on smaller items).  Regardless of the freight carrier used, we very much advise you to buy insurance to cover the shipment.  We will not be responsible for anything that is beyond our control, such as what the freight carrier does with or to this after it leaves our possession.

If you come & pick this up here:  We won't charge you for anything we don't have to provide or do.  If you don't need the chair palletized, then there will be no charge for us palletizing it.  Simple.  However, if this is picked up locally, we MUST charge 7% Indiana state sales tax (which we must then send to the state).  As a corporation with a retail merchant certificate, we have no choice about that.  If you need help loading this into your vehicle that you bring to come & get it, then we can help with that for free.  However, if you do this, please, for safety remember to bring good quality straps to keep the chair in place on the way home in your truck or van.

If you live reasonably close to here & want/need/prefer this DELIVERED to your home:  We do NOT guarantee that we will be able to deliver this (mainly because we're not sure how far away you are).  IF all of these conditions are met, then we are willing to provide such a service:
Delivery condition #1:  If we deliver this to an Indiana address, then you MUST pay the 7% Indiana sales tax, just as if you'd bought it here in person.  If that's the case, then that tax must be paid BEFORE WE LEAVE to come & deliver it.
Delivery condition #2:  The fee for this delivery service MUST be negotiated & paid for BEFORE WE LEAVE to come & deliver it.  I'll have to borrow a buddy's truck, plus pay a big buddy to come with me to help me lift this heavy thing out of the truck & safely set it on the ground in front of your house.  I'll be paying for their time to ride with me to your house, their time while we're there, & their time to come back.  Also, it'll cost me gas $ & I'll hand the owner of the vehicle some $ for letting me use it.  The fee will reflect those expenses.
Delivery condition #3:  The TIME when it's to be delivered will be agreed to BEFORE WE LEAVE.  If you (whoever is the registered user of your eBay account = you, not your cousin, your brother, etc., etc.) are not there to sign for it in person, then we do NOT guarantee that we will wait for you to show up, or that we will be able to REdeliver it -- even if you are willing to pay for another delivery fee.  You MUST SIGN FOR IT when we get there, or we won't leave it there.  (Since we would not have a Delivery Confirmation or tracking number to prove that we delivered it, we have to have the signature proof that you received it.)  We may ask to verify your ID, to make sure that the person who is responsible for your eBay account is the one signing for the delivery.  We have to do it this way in order to protect ourselves against fraud.  (In our experience, at least 97-99% of eBayers are wonderful, honest folks.  Then there are the others ...)
Delivery condition #4:  This item must be paid for in full BEFORE WE LEAVE.  We will not accept cash-on-delivery as a payment method.  We will not accept a check from you in person as the payment method.  If you want to pay via a regular check, then we can do that -- but it must CLEAR BEFORE WE LEAVE to come & deliver this item.  This will be YOUR chair -- paid in full -- before we deliver it.
Delivery condition #5:  We will NOT carry this up or down any stairs.  If you do not have an appropriate, safe wheelchair ramp to drive this up onto, then we're not going to deliver it to you.
Delivery condition #6:  If there are ANY unusual conditions involved in the delivery, then we must know about them -- & agree to deal with them -- BEFORE WE LEAVE.  (No surprises.)
