Start by giving the head, arms, and legs a bath to remove waxiness, factory color, and any excess dirt. Then add liquid dye to the water to create a warm flesh-color. Follow Tucker's directions to recolor the doll and add personality using oil paints and glossy finishes.
 
What could be more important that the eyes? Learn how to make them expressive and how to create beautiful long lashes(Here's a hint: false lashes can work wonders!) Then have fun with the hair. Supply stores offer many wig options, so you can create a moppet with thick, dark hair, or an angelic-looking wispy blonde.
