A truly beautiful piece of Art Deco era glass. A substantial vase at 27.5 cm across the top (that's almost 11 inches) Two beautiful frosted glass maidens clasp each others hands behind themselves- joining in the middle of the vase in a typically dramatic and geometric deco theme. The vase has a lift out flower ‘frog’ used to help arrange the stems of flowers on display. This is broken in one section and the vase displays just as well without it. The only fair description of the vase would be ‘badly chipped’ around the base area, with several large flake chips around the base as clearly shown in the pics. This is a shame and my start price reflects the damage. However for a general piece on display and for showing off in a Uranium glass cabinet- this damages pales in comparison to the sheer majesty of the vase, which has no further damage, with the upper section perfect and with no cracks at all. Under a UV light the vase truly comes alive- and is one of the most reactive pieces of uranium glass I've handled in a while.
