Up for auction is a large  antique Glouster Fisherman ship model

~ EDITH OF PROVIDENCE ~

Edith was built in the early part of the 20th century and came from the estate of a man whose  Grandfather built it around 1920. The ship shows its age in a good way, the original sails are patched up and mended just like the real fishing vessels of the time were. The Glouster style wheel is geared and when turned the rudder answers the helm.

This model is 48" at the water line, 48" tall and 72" long to the tip of the bow sprite. Most of the rigging is in tact and original wilth only a few lines down and very easy to fix. 

Overall, the condition of this model is excellent but this old girl is too big to travel in the mail so it is being offered for local pickup only. As I live on Long Island I can hand deliver it to its new skipper on the Bridgeport to Port Jefferson ferry. I have done this in the past for customers in the North East and it works out well.
