ENCYCLOPEDIA OF
ELECTRONIC CIRCUITS
Volume 1

By Rudolf F. Graf

TAB #1938, 1985, Hardbound
795 pages, 1762 Illustrations

List $60.00 24 years ago!

Absolutely a 'MUST HAVE' reference book for you if you are a kitchen-table hobbyist, experimenter, inventor, technician and/or engineer. This book is 795 pages THICK and has one of the most complete obsolescence resistant circuit collections ever published.

An easy-to-navigate Table of Contents has 98 chapters with logical circuit groupings listed alphabetically from Alarms through Metal Detectors to Zero Crossing Detectors. The index includes references to volumes 2, 3 and 4. "Sources" for most circuits are provided in an Appendix in front of the Index.

You definitely don't need to be an engineer to enjoy and use this book. New and Experienced technicians will be very comfortable with this encyclopedia.

New enough to be relevant, but old enough to spare you the obscure ASICs and calculus found in many of today's books. You'll find mostly the simpler, general purpose semiconductors and ICs used in circuits that don't require multilayer PCBs to assemble.

Some of the semiconductor / IC part numbers may be uncommon today, but can still be purchased on the internet. Substitutions with newer designs are easy to find for many of the semis / ICs, because their functionality is common and the circuit design, math and theory still apply.

Use a circuit as-is, or as a foundation from which you improvise and adapt to your own requirements. Brainstorm! Synergize!

When math is necessary, for example to select RC parts for a specific oscillator frequency, simple algebra is used.

Tons of well detailed circuits - almost 1300 of 'em - with 1762 large, easy to read, illustrations. Many circuits are accompanied by a brief explanatory text. Those that do not have text can be readily understood from similar circuits in that chapter, or else they may be too complex to be explained briefly. [The author explained that the sparseness of text is deliberate so as to allow for more circuits.]

Almost all of the circuits in this book are solid-state / semiconductor designs; only a few tube applications are included in this collection. Most circuits are analog, but digital logic circuits are well represented too.

The Table of Contents and Index will be time savers for the reader who knows exactly what he is looking for. The first page of each chapter lists the circuits in the order that they appear. For further research, an Appendix lists the original source for most of the circuits.

This is the perfect reference book when you need a quick circuit (or more) to include in your current project or improve an old one. This is the perfect book for YOU if you venture beyond mere kit building. You'll enjoy just browsing and studying the circuits just to see what approaches are taken to perform certain tasks and to give you ideas for many projects.

If I didn't already have one these books in my technical library, I definitely wouldn't part with this one. The winning bidder will not be disappointed.............. But if you are, return it in the same condition and we will refund your winning bid payment, less S/H.
