You are bidding on a original vintage Hull Little Red Riding Hood cookie jar. This original has the markings on the bottom - Little Red Riding Hood Pat. Des. No.135889 USA - as you can see in the third scan. It measures 13 1/4" high and this is the closed basket version. This also is a more collectible version because it has the three poppies across the front as you can see in the fourth scan. The jar is in really nice shape as you can see! The bottom has some wear on the base edge but otherwise it has very little wear. I also included a article from 9/2001 that gives some history on this jar. More info on these jars can be found on About.Com which has the three or more poppies versions valued at $450+ but there will be no reserve.
