Mini Mug - I Love Venice, red heart

Around 3/8" high. These are handmade, and the size of the mugs varies a fraction of an inch. They all fit appropriately in a dollhouse.

HOW MINIATURE CERAMICS ARE MADE
These items are handmade by American artisans.
The technique is slip-casting, that is pouring liquified clay into molds. When they have dried, the pieces are taken from the molds and smoothed by sanding or scraping.
Then they are smoothed again with a damp sponge, and fired in the kiln.
The next step is glazing, where the overall color or, for pieces with a white background, a clear glaze is applied.
Then they are fired in the kiln again.
The last step is to apply the designs, which are covered with a layer of clear varnish.
