This T40 is as loaded as one can be.  It is an amazing and very reliable machine with fast CPU, lots of RAM and Hard Disk space, combo drive, WiFi, and much more.  It is perfect for students, business owners or just about all power users.  I've use many laptops in my life and I believe that IBM's are the most reliable and resilient of them all.
