ALL OF OUR AUCTIONS ARE PRIVATE DUE TO THE OVERWHELMING FAKE EMAILS SENT TO UNDERBIDDERS. This is one of the very historic letters that we bought a while back and currently have listed- be sure to check the others also currently listed. Purchased from a party who had an affiliation with Charles Lindbergh's close friend Mr. Samuel F. Pryor Jr. who was a long time executive vice president of Pan American Airlines, these important letters are quite poignant and show the love that this famous aviator had for his beloved Hana Maui where he was laid to rest in 1974. This letter is written on his Darien Connecticut letterhead from his estate named "Tellina". Dated May 12, 1973 this remarkable letter is as follows: "Dear Sam and Mary Tay: Just a quick note to tell you how much we miss being with you on Maui. It is lovely here at Scotts Cove with the flowers and spring leaves coming out, and the land and sea birds (depending on which window we look out of), but I like to hear the great Pacific waves at night, and showers of rain on the roof, and to jump in the Land Rover in the morning and drive up the hill to your house for a visit. I already look forward to the time we can fly back to Hawaii. Our love and best wishes to you always, Charles". A piece of the utmost historical importance, this letter like the other ones we have currently listed are all being put up without any reserve so good luck and we will also absolutely stand behind the authenticity and provide the winning bidder a descriptive invoice on our letterhead if so desired. Very careful packing, shipping and insurance by air US post will be $10.00 in the US or $24.00 foreign and combined shipping is OK. All major credit cards accepted by fax with a signature.
