ABOUT THIS AUCTION: FOR SALE is an wonderful mid century Impressionist oil painting on artist's board of a picturesque country house in dappled morning light by recently "discovered" New York artist George Lederer. Signed and dated 1977 in Lederer's wonderful sloppy but charming handwriting lower left. Direct from the artist's estate

CONDITION: In every good condition, as shown. Corners of artist's board are bumped. One fleck of painting missing lower left.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: George Lederer has arrived. A master of color and light, Lederer was an extremely versitile artist, painting in a variety of styles and genres with great skill. We will be listing more of his work this coming week. This painting showcases how he was influenced by 19th Century Impressionism, and his GIFT to convey the impact of great color and LIGHT with fluency and loose brushstrokes.
